How to Download and Play Monster Hunter Rise Mobile (Android & iOS)
Step-by-step: install the Netflix-published Monster Hunter Rise on Android and iOS, sign in, and what to do when it says not available.
# How to Download and Play Monster Hunter Rise Mobile (Android & iOS)
Getting Monster Hunter Rise on your phone is straightforward — if your region is live. Here's the full process for both platforms, plus what to do when the listing says "not available."
## Before you start: the two requirements
1. **A phone or tablet** running a reasonably recent Android or iOS. This is a native port of a full console game, not a lightweight spin-off — don't expect it to run well on ancient hardware.
2. **An active Netflix subscription.** The game is published through Netflix Games and you sign in with your Netflix account to play.
## On Android
1. Open the Google Play Store and search "Monster Hunter Rise," or go straight to the official listing (published by Netflix, package `com.netflix.NGP.MonsterHunterRise`). Our [download page](/download) has the direct link.
2. Tap **Install**. It's the full game, so give it space and a decent connection.
3. Open the game and **sign in with your Netflix account**.
4. Done — no separate purchase, no ads, no in-app purchases.
## On iOS
1. Open the App Store and search "Monster Hunter Rise."
2. Find the listing **published by Netflix** — that's the official one. Ignore anything else with a similar name.
3. Download, open, and sign in with your Netflix account.
## "Not available in your country" — what it means
The game is in **soft launch**, currently confirmed live in the Philippines and Malaysia. If your store listing says the item isn't available, your region simply isn't live yet. This is temporary and normal for Netflix game launches.
What **not** to do: don't install APK files from websites, don't use "region unlocker" apps from shady sources, and don't buy accounts. Every one of those paths leads to the [fake-APK scams](/posts/fake-apk-warning-rise-mobile) already circulating.
## First-launch tips
- **Use Wi-Fi for the download.** It's a full game.
- **Try the touch controls before judging them.** They were rebuilt per weapon, and the new [Recovery Button](/posts/whats-new-rise-mobile-version) genuinely helps.
- **Play the tutorial.** Rise's wirebug movement is the game's signature mechanic, and it's worth learning properly on touch.
